Start with ThirdParty/ instead; it contains gnustep-make which provides common.make. Or get gnustep-make with it's files from your distribution, if it has such package. The starting point is gstep-make in ThirdParty. Like this (untested) cd gstep-make ./configure --prefix=3D$HOME/OGo \ --with-library-combo=3Dgnu-fd-nil \ --with-user-root=3D$HOME/OGo \ --with-network-root=3D$HOME/OGo \ --with-local-root=3D$HOME/OGo make install This should create a OGo deployment directory in your home. Afterwards=20= *ALWAYS* include $HOME/OGo/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh before attempting to=20 compile anything else. When you are done with gstep-make, you should do cd gstep-objc; make -s debug=3Dyes install; cd .. cd libFoundation; ./configure --with-gnustep; make -s debug=3Dyes install; cd .. cd libxml2;make debug=3Dyes install;cd .. cd js;make debug=3Dyes install;cd .. Then in SOPE skyrix-xml (make -s debug=3Dyes install) skyrix-core (the same) skyrix-sope (the same) then in ThirdParty/gnustep-db cd GDLAccess ... make cd PostgreSQL72 ... make then in Logic make -s debug=3Dyes install then in DocumentAPI make -s debug=3Dyes install then in WebUI make -s debug=3Dyes install and with a bit of luck you might get a WebUI/OpenGroupware.org/OpenGroupware.org directory. In this directory you should be able to start the OGo WebUI ./ix86/..../OpenGroupware -WOPort ... (like described in install/apache13.html) I'll make a real build guide and put it up on OGo later. Autodoc isn't required for compilation. regards, Helge -- OpenGroupware.org - http://www.opengroupware.org/ From mechanix@slider.rack66.net Thu Jul 10 22:02:59 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: developer@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68A2D18F5CA for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:02:59 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 09312-04 for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:02:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: from slider.rack66.net (slider.rack66.net [212.3.252.135]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 944E918F5C6 for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:02:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: by slider.rack66.net (Postfix, from userid 1026) id 4B607F209; Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:05:29 +0200 (CEST) Date: Thu, 10 Jul 2003 22:05:29 +0200 From: Filip Van Raemdonck To: developer@opengroupware.org Subject: package build scripts (Re: [OGo-Developer] please post source rpm(s) - and rules files) Message-ID: <20030710200529.GF20001@debian> Mail-Followup-To: developer@opengroupware.org References: <20030710135735.GJ32443@gambit.enfusion-group.com> <20030710152843.GB12772@debian> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <20030710152843.GB12772@debian> User-Agent: Mutt/1.3.28i X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Sender: developer-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: developer-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: developer@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: General Development Questions List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: On Thu, Jul 10, 2003 at 05:28:43PM +0200, Filip Van Raemdonck wrote: > On Thu, Jul 10, 2003 at 09:57:35AM -0400, Tony Clayton wrote: > > > > Please post the SRPM to the web site, and/or add the SPEC file to the cvs > > tree. > > It would be equally nice to have the debian/* files :) What are the plans for these? I currently have SOPE building (haven't tried make install yet) with out of the box Debian - unstable - packages instead of using what's in ThirdParty/, and now that I know what to watch for I suppose other parts will be somewhat easier to get building too. However, I can't help but feeling I'm doing quite a bit of unneeded work here... Seeing that there are package scripts available somewhere already, which would probably eliminate a fair amount of work when used as a basis. Currently Bjoern (bs@opengroupware.org) is busy fixing the packages for Debian and RPM, but we would really like to see other people taking over these parts for the community project. Our build-system is a bit, well, complicated and maybe unusual. AFAIK it currently doesn't even allow the creation of SRPMS files, but I may be wrong. RH 9 should allow you to install Apache/1.3 along 2.x. BTW: Another option is to use mod_proxy (coming with any Apache version) for forwarding web request to the OGo application server. But since mod_proxy is a streaming proxy it has the disadvantage that the IO load isn't hidden from OGo. It handles: Asset Management Scheduled Servicing of Assets Management of Resources(Human(Work Force Automation), Property(meeting rooms, etc)) Work Requests and Confirmations Service(or project, if you wish) progress, and statistics Scheduling of Resources to Services (ERP) Employee Timesheeting(against scheduled tasks) Condition Monitoring of Assets Warehousing of Assets and/or Stock Freighting and Movement of Assets and/or stock(Logistics) ...and many little side features to support the above - 47 tables in all. At the moment, the interface is written in PHP(for a web-browser front-end), but all processing logic is done in Stored Procedures, so any interface can be plugged in - Java, GNUStep, C, C++, and no re-building of processing logic is required. Unless this idea is outside the scope of OpenGroupware. It'd just be nice to have an open-source one-stop-shop, that can run your entire business... It also would save me adding groupware functionality to my package (Which, incidentally, is called 'OpenAspect') Sorry for the huge email, but I think co-operation is better than constant re-engineering... ________________________________________________________________________ Want to chat instantly with your online friends? Checking the upstream zlib tarball (1.1.4, but the Debian zlib1g-dev for 1.1.3 doesn't contain zutil.h either) it only installs a zlib.h and a zconf.h. From a grep it appears that zlib.h which I do have would contain the right definitions; I suppose the "#ifdef __APPLE__" from the file I mentioned above should be altered to match more systems (though I'm not sure at this point what to look for - if you do have zutil.h on a Linux system). Also, that zutil.h from the Linux kernel include directory is definitely not the right one :) Regards, Filip -- "I feel like Microsoft is mostly unaware that their products are used in the real world." -- Jason Coombs on Microsoft product security From bjoern@opengroupware.org Fri Jul 11 10:14:24 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: developer@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1E26D18F5CD for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:14:24 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 04474-03 for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:14:23 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.mdlink.net (medusa.mdlink.de [213.211.192.34]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 872F418F5C7 for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:14:23 +0200 (CEST) Received: from skyrix.in.skyrix.com (gw.skyrix.com [213.211.192.97]) by imap.mdlink.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 99E2B757D7 for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:21:24 +0200 (CEST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by skyrix.in.skyrix.com (Postfix on SuSE Linux 7.1 (i386)) with ESMTP id 43871420A4 for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:19:39 +0200 (CEST) Received: from opengroupware.org (mac.in.skyrix.com [192.168.0.176]) by skyrix.in.skyrix.com (Postfix on SuSE Linux 7.1 (i386)) with ESMTP id 1A62A4208E for ; Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:19:27 +0200 (CEST) Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2003 10:16:07 +0200 Subject: Re: [OGo-Developer] SOPE build bugs (Re: package build scripts) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v552) From: Bjoern Stierand To: OpenGroupware.org Developer Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In-Reply-To: <20030711071110.GB12829@debian> Message-Id: X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.552) X-Virus-Scanned: by AMaViS perl-11 X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Sender: developer-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: developer-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: developer@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: General Development Questions List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: On Friday, Jul 11, 2003, at 09:11 Europe/Berlin, Filip Van Raemdonck wrote: > On Fri, Jul 11, 2003 at 12:17:19AM +0200, Helge Hess wrote: >> Hm.
