Exactly, I was talking about a (automatic!) sync process, this can  
push hundreds of changes in a second (the likeliness of a conflict  
increases dramatically). Of course this matters less for private  
folders, but for shared ones it does! (IMHO the whole point for  
groupware ;-) Especially if the folders are supposed to scale the  
issue becomes more and more important. A single user can push a 100  
changes to a shared folders which others may not see due to the 1s  
granularity of the timestamp.

Anyways, I have nothing against ignoring the issue for now. Having a  
sync at all is more important in the first place ;-)
