Is there a way to use the ::qsearch command in a case insensitive
manner?

Just as an example, using the ogo-qsearch-persons tool:

No result -
ogo-qsearch-persons -login awilliam -password fred 'firstname =3D "adam"
AND address.city LIKE "Grand%"'

Finds result -
ogo-qsearch-persons -login awilliam -password fred 'firstname =3D "Adam"
AND address.city LIKE "Grand%"'
