You also need to read the second sentence:

Really, this list is about discussing the OGo software, not about FOSS  
principles nor about communism :-) So please lets get back to the topic.

If you want to volunteer for doing work on OGo thats certainly very  
welcome. Pick an aspect and contribute! :-) Personally I don't really  
care about the motivation for someone working on OGo as long as it  
benefits the project.
