Greetings=20 My name in Chris and I'm in for the ride. Docs are important and usually=20 neglected so I thought I would help out from the start with this project as= =20 it has tremendouse potential. Currently reviewing the german 4.1 docs for=20 translation into english. As there are other english-german, dual language= =20 enthusiast here already, If needed I can run quality control and help out=20 with some translation as well.=20 Speeking with Helge yesterday via email, I understand the order of priority= is=20 basically, install docs, user docs, admin docs. Dev docs will come later an= d=20 primarily addressed by the dev teams. Sophie is also here from OOo.org fame= =20 and I understand she is coordinating translation teams. Not sure how these= =20 stream will line up yet but they will at some point...:) Currently setting up a project site where I will do most of my work for=20 uploading somewhere later when arrangements are complete. Im using a zope=20 system as a CMS/doc and user management system thats currently in beta. Onc= e=20 I finish it I'll move it to our production server so others can take a look= =20 if its needed or not. No offense taken if its not. I dont have a probelm wi= th=20 that at all. Its just a suitable work format for me as I tend to roam a lot. Wrt decisions on formats etc, I guess that will come later? as well as a=20 repository? Currently Im reviewing the lists to scratch together a basic se= t=20 of install docs based on variouse posts etc. Based on Russell's P. post to= =20 newsforge...its really neeeded at this time. As I know Russell his post=20 should be taken as encouragement not criticsm and perhaps a reflection of=20 where and how the priorities could be focussed. Glad to be here. Let me know how i can help. We will be putting the Canadia= n=20 project mirror (ca.opengroupware.org) on line in the next day or two so we= =20 should be able to attract more dual-tripple language folks from this side o= f=20 ocean as well. Hopefully that is.... All for now OOPs. Background info: hmm thats a long one. Short version. Former product= =20 development manager; emerging technologies group. Basically we build the ol= d=20 now defunct Netwinder. Been into the messaging-groupware-doc management are= na=20 on linux since 89. Run my own business now and work on several open source= =20 infrastructure related projects. Even started one, but that was a long time= =20 ago now..:) Now a days I most help out, when I can, on projects that intere= st=20 me as well as promoting and entrenching opensource based technologies in=20 Canada and the States.=20 =20 Best and many thanks for letting me help. /ch From helge.hess@opengroupware.org Wed Jul 16 20:23:55 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B528418F5A7 for ; Wed, 16 Jul 2003 20:23:55 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 13135-09 for ; Wed, 16 Jul 2003 20:23:54 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.mdlink.net (medusa.mdlink.de [213.211.192.34]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C8F7B18F5A3 for ; Wed, 16 Jul 2003 20:23:54 +0200 (CEST) Received: from opengroupware.org (unknown [213.211.192.194]) by imap.mdlink.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 98E3CCE557; Wed, 16 Jul 2003 20:28:35 +0200 (CEST) In-Reply-To: References: Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v578) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Message-Id: <50812BDF-B7BB-11D7-9561-000393C29C2A@opengroupware.org> Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: documentation@opengroupware.org From: Helge Hess Date: Wed, 16 Jul 2003 20:28:36 +0200 To: "K. Well, I would love to have all three: a) online at the site b) PDFs for printing c) online inside the app But I have no idea on how to do documentations ;-) Is DocBook good for that ? Never used it. The "original" SKYRIX documentation is in LaTeX, AFAIK. But it isn't contributed to OGo. > On the website the documentation for SKYRIX is mentioned, one of the > guys is > Dutch, he might find a German documentation helpful and if there are > some > parts that could be reused, I can translate them from German to > English. I think Chris already works by reading the German documentation. You'll need to make at least new screenshots since the SKYRIX docs use the "yellow" theme, not the OGo theme. > One more question, is there someone from the core team subscribed to > the > list and if so who, so we can address this person with questions, some > kind > of liaison with the developer side? I'm subscribed to any list, so I can direct people to answer questions ;-) I'm usually screening the lists, but drop me a line personally if I don't respond to something important ;-) > I also signed up for the translators list to be informed what's > happening on > this side and to coordinate with that team. Realistically this role should go to some one who has a few years of technical writing under their belt. I dont have that skill set. Rather, I just know clear, detailed, precise and user friendly documentation is really needed, never gets done in time, and well its usually the last thing on the list. I would be much more comfortable and productive helping someone who desires to lead this project, by keeping people focussed, on time and well, generally herding killer bees. My web-hosting-design-boutique is built exclusively on open source and has been running smoothly since 1999. I also own several nascent websites that seek to extend open source from the server room to the mainstream. Opengroupware is key to this effort. How can I best be used? English is my only language, so translation is out. This is my first attempt at contributing to an open source project. I don't have intimate knowledge of groupware and long experience in related projects. However, l can present complex abstractions in simple laypersons' terms. I edit well and see the big picture. I presume there is a copyright on it. Reading it might disqualify you for actually writting documentation for open source projects. Which is more or less the same for reading closed source code. Does anyone know what the position of Skyrix is on the point. If they are okay with us reading their German manuals and using them to produce OpenGroupware documentation... I would say give me a copy!!! :) Then there is ofcourse the actual documentation. I think we should start with a documentation layout. Since we are with a couple of people, we can fill in gaps (maybe a wiki might be helpful). If we first create a Book index like: 1) Build manual 2) Setup manual 3) User manual 4) Developer manual I choose this order since I think the books should be written in this order (sorry helge, user manual is to me of a later concern, when people are not able to install and setup OpenGroupware... then there are no users, you know GNUstep, so you get my point ;) ). Now we have to fill in the chapters within the books, and then the sections. When we have this skeleton everyone can pick a piece and write it. Then there is the hardest part... style :) Since we are with a couple of people that are not native English speakers, one or two persons should be responsible for corrections on grammar, spelling and style. They are the editors (again initially a wiki might come in handy). A DocBook kinda style for layout is handy imho. I am in the process of converting all my GNUstep documents to DocBook since I think it is the way to go to write modularized documentation. But that is just my point of view. A lot of output formats are available (incl. HTML, PS, RTF (for the windows fellows) and with ps2dpf also PDF). Another idea might be to use Scribus (http://web2.altmuehlnet.de/fschmid/) I haven't tested it yet, but it looks promissing. But the most important part to me is the Build manual. I would like to volunteer to start on this as soon as I am back from my holiday, which is around the 15th of August (sorry, I need a break). And if we could use the Skyrix documentation... then as I said send me a copy, or let me know where to get one. There is nothing a good dictionary can't fix :) With kind regards, Dennis Leeuw From helge.hess@skyrix.com Thu Jul 17 10:34:47 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2983718F654 for ; Thu, 17 Jul 2003 10:34:47 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 27726-07 for ; Thu, 17 Jul 2003 10:34:45 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.mdlink.net (medusa.mdlink.de [213.211.192.34]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E5F9418F647 for ; Thu, 17 Jul 2003 10:34:42 +0200 (CEST) Received: from skyrix.com (unknown [213.211.192.194]) by imap.mdlink.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id CE53474077 for ; Thu, 17 Jul 2003 10:39:40 +0200 (CEST) Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v578) In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Message-Id: <32B0693C-B832-11D7-8344-000393C29C2A@skyrix.com> Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: Helge Hess Subject: Re: [OGo-Documentation] Ideas and thoughts Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2003 10:39:36 +0200 To: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.578) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Sender: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: documentation@opengroupware.org List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: OGo Documentation Issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: Dennis, the SKYRIX documentation is not part of the OGo contribution, so please make no 1:1 copy of the text and images. I would change the oder a bit pending on who the target audience is. Im thinking here the audiance should be as many people as possible to get them using opengroupware. This implies two groups, early adopter/developers and unitiated new users. In general the first group is technically solid whereas the later group is at the other end of the spectrum. As this later group is larger then the first perhaps it makes more sence to change the order as follows; Setup manual User manual Build manal (by build manual we are talking source compiles and installations??) Developer manual Just some feed back. > I choose this order since I think the books should be written in this > order (sorry helge, user manual is to me of a later concern, when people > are not able to install and setup OpenGroupware... then there are no > users, you know GNUstep, so you get my point ;) ). I can do this and a wiki as part of a CMS with workflow management is available as a beta see: http://ogw.dyndns.org I will move it to my production server later in the day under a more stable URL. Then waite for approval or concensus to use it. Feel free to register and play around to test it. The wiki format starts with the documents section. On line editing is currently turned off for security reasons. > A DocBook kinda style for layout is handy imho. A lot of output formats are available (incl. HTML, PS, RTF (for the > windows fellows) and with ps2dpf also PDF). Yes I would agree here that DocBook is a good format. Unfortunately I have never had the time to learn it to the degree necessary. And it has limitiations as its a single user system. What I was thinking (for me anyways) is to use my system which I am familiar with, put them on line for review, commentary and critic. Then once content is clean then submitt then to the project. What will be needed then are style sheets, a translations system, ie: docbook, and standardized output formats. Im working on the premise that content is king and needs to get done first..:) > Another idea might be to use Scribus (http://web2.altmuehlnet.de/fschmid/) > I haven't tested it yet, but it looks promissing. Its very good. Been using it now off and on for testing for about a year. The previouse release was nicely stable enough to get some work done. This new release I have not tested yet. However Scribus is not an editor, its a dps which may or may not be needed for generating content, as content format in terms of preparation can be generated by any editor. > But the most important part to me is the Build manual. With ZideLook you can just Drag&Drop things over to OGo folders. I think it would be excellent and important to have a detailed guide on how to do what you are asking for (I took the documentation list into CC, maybe someone can work on it, Chris can you coordinate ?). There are several facilities for migrating data. Mails: just drag than over to the IMAP4 server Contacts: export as CSV and import using the WebUI Calendar: this is more difficult. Export as something and import using an XML-RPC script. An iCalendar file importer in the WebUI would certainly be excellent (and not too difficult). Another thing which should be not too difficult but very nice would be iCalendar upload support in ZideStore. This way you would mount a ZideStore folder in WebDAV and just drop in an iCalendar file for import! :-) best regards, Helge -- OpenGroupware.org - http://www.opengroupware.org/ From helge.hess@opengroupware.org Sat Jul 19 20:17:59 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4C36F18F790 for ; Sat, 19 Jul 2003 20:17:59 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 25352-03 for ; Sat, 19 Jul 2003 20:17:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.mdlink.net (medusa.mdlink.de [213.211.192.34]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B45DE18F78E for ; Sat, 19 Jul 2003 20:17:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: from opengroupware.org (unknown [213.211.192.194]) by imap.mdlink.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3CB50D07E5 for ; Sat, 19 Jul 2003 20:24:19 +0200 (CEST) Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v578) Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-Id: <295BEC54-BA16-11D7-AEDA-000393C29C2A@opengroupware.org> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed To: documentation@opengroupware.org From: Helge Hess Date: Sat, 19 Jul 2003 20:23:57 +0200 X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.578) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Subject: [OGo-Documentation] Documentation Lead ? Im just thinking of my time commitment to lead this project component as there a few new things looming on the horizon that should keep me pre-occupied. I would hate to mislead or do a half baked job, especially with docs. Finally Im looking at the german docs this weekend. I should be able to get a "User Guide: Quick Start ed'n" out by the end of week as a draft for review and comment. Once thats done, pending what others are working on a more complete detailed User Guide based on the german versions would be the next step IMHO. Also something to consider. Ive reviewed the unofficial HowTo's and some need to be clean up wrt typo's or cleaner instructions in terms of detail so that new users (to both linux and OGO) can simply cut and paste. Perhaps some one else may want to look at those as well. We are here to help. As its stands it requires the end user to do that as it barfs with $perl add_remove_ogo.pl Newbies will have a tough time with this. Also pls look at the db setup instructions as there are some typo's and the ln -s instruction variouse depending authers notes. Just little house keeping issues and I hope Im not sounding overtly negatively critical..:) > Check for and get the latest packages. Install run scripts etc. The perl script is tested and works on SuSE 8.2 That shold be noted somewhere: IMHO the intall section on ogo.org could be broken out and include eventually the following: Install HowTo: RedHat verX.X Install HowTo: Mandrake: ver X.X Install HOwTo: SuSE ver X.X Install HowTo: Debian ver X.X Install HowTo: Connectiva ver X.X recognizing that most developers will be working with Debian and Connnectivia. Now the current install notes are pretty indentical for RedHat, Mandrake, SuSE. Connectiva and Debian seem to require their own instructions based on their destinctive packageing requirements. It would be helpfull (in terms of promoting the project) to have direct links on the ogo docs page to individualized or platform specific install HowTO's even if they are essentially the same. If the intended purpose is to gain max exposure for the project, then ease of use accross the wide range of users could be an end objective, IMHO...comments?? ideas? > What's the status of the plone doc site? Its on my workstation at present and hooked up to dyndns.org that I can turn on or off at will. If their is agreement and concensus to its value as a staging and production facility I can move it to our production server, say in a day or too, current work load and time commitments pending. The final outcome or intended purpose is to move all documentation to ogo.org/documentation once the docs have been reviewed and approved with the plone site serving as the production and QA (via peer review) facility. Amazingly yes. Im currently working on it thanks to the amazing support form the OGO leads. They are now hosting the site so no bandwidth concerns...:) One module remains to be installed/updated (ie: zwiki) and then it will be ready to go. Should be ready Monday or there abouts I think, as soon as the lads get some time to make the necessary updates to the server. Greetings Ashwin; Welcome on board and thanks for the offer. Your efforts will be appreciated. Just a quick overview. Currently the project is completing the setup of the infrastucture needed to coordinate document generation and management on an online forum. This should get done by the end of this week latest. There are some good docs available from SkyRix which we have permission to translate in English and other languages as well as use as source material. Licences on all OGO generated doc's should be GLP's equivalent. So it means essentially a re-write of the exiting docs plus new ones. A general lay of the land would look something like this. Set One: HowTo's and FAQ's Install HowTo's; distro and platform specific installations notes. FAQ's : frequently asked questions HowTo's: A collection of HowTo's that address specific items wrt the OGO application, installation, administration. Set Two: Manual's Quick Start Manual: A manual to get a new 'user' orientated quickly to working within the OGO environment (10 pages or less covering all basic steps) User Manual; A detailed feature specific user manual that the end user can use as a reference. This manual needs to address items that are not coverd or are insufficiently addressed in the Quick Start Manual. Admin Manual; A detailed manual providing instruction on all aspects of administering OGO. This would include all system components ie: Apache, postrgresql, OGO, zideserver, palm syncronization User Management and administration etc etc. So there is lots to be covered. Im at work right now so I need to finish this post and get onto some deadline stuff. Check back here later this afternoon for more details. Sorry bout this. /ch From chris123@magma.ca Mon Jul 28 16:28:00 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0405418F595 for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2003 16:27:59 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 22805-05 for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2003 16:27:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: from fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com (fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.86.72]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2D64B18F594 for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2003 16:27:58 +0200 (CEST) Received: from [192.168.1.100] ([63.138.174.217]) by fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com (InterMail vM.5.01.05.12 201-253-122-126-112-20020820) with ESMTP id <20030728143635.MYOP155741.fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com@[192.168.1.100]> for ; Mon, 28 Jul 2003 10:36:35 -0400 From: Chris Herrnberger To: documentation@opengroupware.org Subject: Re: [OGo-Documentation] I would like to help with documentation Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2003 10:37:15 -0400 User-Agent: KMail/1.5.1 References: <000601c35505$5e8c3430$3f00a8c0@synapse.com> <200307280941.59311.chris123@magma.ca> In-Reply-To: <200307280941.59311.chris123@magma.ca> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Message-Id: <200307281037.15692.chris123@magma.ca> X-Authentication-Info: Submitted using SMTP AUTH PLAIN at fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com from [63.138.174.217] using ID at Mon, 28 Jul 2003 10:36:35 -0400 X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Sender: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Reply-To: chris123@magma.ca List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: OGo Documentation Issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: On Monday 28 July 2003 09:41, Chris Herrnberger wrote: > Im at work right now so I need to finish this post and get onto some > deadline stuff. What is important is that is summarizes accomplishments and events of the past month and outlines comming events with dates. Actually item 1 has been requested by now by several potential users (SME's), so I will be starting a meager effort at this end to get the ball rolling. We will release it to the project when completed, but sure could use some help on it so will be doing most of the work on the doc site as soon as its done as it allows easy review by interested parties Comments and feedback most welcomed. /ch From ogo@toasterz.com Tue Jul 29 23:37:37 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B1C6C18F5C0; Tue, 29 Jul 2003 23:37:37 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 12834-07; Tue, 29 Jul 2003 23:37:37 +0200 (CEST) Received: from fed1mtao08.cox.net (fed1mtao08.cox.net [68.6.19.123]) by mail.opengroupware.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EE5C418F521; Tue, 29 Jul 2003 23:37:35 +0200 (CEST) Received: from toasterz.com ([68.0.151.150]) by fed1mtao08.cox.net (InterMail vM.5.01.04.05 201-253-122-122-105-20011231) with ESMTP id <20030729214710.HFYR7156.fed1mtao08.cox.net@toasterz.com>; Tue, 29 Jul 2003 17:47:10 -0400 Message-ID: <3F26EB69.8030908@toasterz.com> Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 14:47:21 -0700 From: Kelley G User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20030208 Netscape/7.02 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: users@opengroupware.org, documentation@opengroupware.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Subject: [OGo-Documentation] master defaults and other files Sender: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: documentation@opengroupware.org List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: OGo Documentation Issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: here's what i have so far. from the lists and elsewhere. The doc portal has been build on zope/plone and allows for documentation to be easily created on line or locally on your workstation. The choice remains yours. To start with the system, become a member, set your preferences (pls use the plone skin only as the other may break) and review the help system under the support tab (to be completed). Questions on using the system can be dropped at the discuss forum contained on the system or on this list for now. (documentation@opengroupware.org) http://docs.opengroupware.org remains a production facility. Once released all documents will be officially released on the http://opengroupware.org site. "What we need." 1. Translation teams: German>English SkyRix has graciously allowed access to their German documentation to be used as source material for English gpl equivalent documentation. Please consider participating in this task and announcing your intend on the documentation list. 2. Document owners; We have prepared a preliminary inventory of document requirements. This will grow. We need people who are willing to coordinate a particular subject matter and take ownership of the documents production. You do not need to work on it yourself. 3. List monitors. We need people to monitor the various lists and pull pertinent information ie: solutions or frequently asked questions from those lists and either create, add too or maintain various FAQ's 4. Writers. Never written docs before but always wanted too. Its not a difficult as you may think. Please consider it by logging on too http://docs.opengroupware.org 5. Support Please use the documentation list and the various online support systems on the site. Finally if you really get stuck you can always post to me directly as a last resort. The address is in the header section. "What we have for you in return" 1. Fame, glory, exposure to cool people. Hay we think were OK..:) 2. No fortune..sorry no cash advances. 3. An opportunity to participate in one of the most interesting and potentially significant OSS projects currently in play. 4. Doc writers maintain all copyright to their documentation. A suitable gpl release license remains to be determined. All documentation release by docs.opengroupware.org will be released under a suitable gpl license. Thanks for reading all this. Chris H. Some small notes. - As you already pointed out documents have to be officially released on the site. People will start asking for Printable (PDF) versions of the documentation, you might want to take a look at the status of the Lampadas project, I think it is Plone based, which will provide you with a tool to create docbook style documents which then can be converted and printed. Try to Create different parts in 1 "book" - Installing - Administrating - Using People often only read 1 "book" rather than the complete documentation. When writing docs it is really important that you mention which version of the software these docs are valid for, and that somewhere in the document you mention a release date. GPL based documents tend to be spread around the internet, people often find old versions of documents that are obsolete but don't realise it. Next to that , we will need people writing small articles in different magazines, webzines etc about opengroupware ... Anyway .. I`ll help out whenever I have the time.. greetz.. -- Kris Buytaert From chris123@magma.ca Tue Aug 5 15:47:26 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: documentation@opengroupware.org Received: from localhost (mail.opengroupware.org [213.211.192.141]) by mail.opengroupware.org (mail) with ESMTP id F255D18F572 for ; Tue, 5 Aug 2003 15:47:25 +0200 (CEST) Received: from mail.opengroupware.org ([213.211.192.141]) by localhost (mail [213.211.192.141]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 05161-07 for ; Tue, 5 Aug 2003 15:47:25 +0200 (CEST) Received: from fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com (fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.86.72]) by mail.opengroupware.org (mail) with ESMTP id D12D818F381 for ; Tue, 5 Aug 2003 15:47:24 +0200 (CEST) Received: from [192.168.1.100] ([63.138.174.217]) by fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com (InterMail vM.5.01.05.12 201-253-122-126-112-20020820) with ESMTP id <20030805134647.YLKY155741.fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com@[192.168.1.100]> for ; Tue, 5 Aug 2003 09:46:47 -0400 From: Chris Herrnberger To: documentation@opengroupware.org Subject: Re: [OGo-Documentation] doc.opengroupware.org announcement Date: Tue, 5 Aug 2003 09:47:38 -0400 User-Agent: KMail/1.5.3 References: <200308041022.22727.chris123@magma.ca> <1060073126.1713.31.camel@localhost> In-Reply-To: <1060073126.1713.31.camel@localhost> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Message-Id: <200308050947.38901.chris123@magma.ca> X-Authentication-Info: Submitted using SMTP AUTH PLAIN at fep02-mail.bloor.is.net.cable.rogers.com from [63.138.174.217] using ID at Tue, 5 Aug 2003 09:46:47 -0400 X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030314-p2 (Debian) at opengroupware.org Sender: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org Errors-To: documentation-admin@opengroupware.org X-BeenThere: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: documentation@opengroupware.org X-Reply-To: chris123@magma.ca List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: OGo Documentation Issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: On Tuesday 05 August 2003 04:45, Kris Buytaert wrote: > Somehow I can't connect to that site for the moment, probably a > temporary glitch.. seems to be up > Lampadas project, I think it is Plone based, which will provide you with > a tool to create docbook style documents which then can be converted and > printed. tks I will look into it, but can do this already from structured text format. We are intentionally keeping all sections in sections durring production and when released for ease of use.
