can somebody tell me why the ogo connector from
http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/castagna/evo-ogo-rh9-mini-howto/view
doesn't work with evolution 1.4.5 ?

I tried to install by compiling the connector successfully, but when I
start evolution gives me some errors:

"Cannot activate component OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_OGo_ShellComponent:The
error from the activation system is:Child process did not give an error
message, unknown failure occurred"It shows some errors later

when I want to view Tasks or Calendar: "could not load the tasks in
file..." and "could not open the folder in
file:///home/user.../Calendar"

Thanks

Hernan

P.D. Helge and Erik: I'm sorry about previous email.

1.5 is the dev version of the upcoming 2.0 release, yes. I didn't try
the 1.5 connector.

> So if I understand this correctly the Novell exchange connector should
> be able to talk to ZideStore if those bugs would be fixed?

Yes.

> Then why is there a project that was building their own Evolution<->OGo
> connector?

Because it could provide better integration with OGo.

>> The 1.4 Connector currently crashes on most folders if we try to
>> connect to ZideStore, but given the source it should be relatively
>> easy
>> to find out why :-)
> Is anyone already working on that?

I don't think so. We (Skyrix) are working on collecting money to
sponsor that work. Some sponsors are already found, but more need to be
found ;-)

Greets,
