AFAIK no. It uses WebDAV with some ZideStore extensions (but AFAIK no 
Exchange extensions).

At the Kontact hack-o-ton we stripped down the Exchange WebDAV 
interface to something reasonable, my attempt to document that can be

Besides that, (my preferred) strategy is still:

I currently have the impression that this might be a pragmatic way to 
go:
1) try to get most things working with Connector
2) fork & strip down Connector to what ZideStore provides
3) add ZideStore/OGo specific enhancements / optimisations

Of course I would be more than happy if work would be continued on the 
existing OGo specific connector ;-)

I would not recommend using the XML-RPC API (for various reasons).
