The examples are the available applications, that is
- Evo + Connector 1.2
- Cadaver
- Glow
- Apple iCal
- MozCal
- KOrganizer

ZideStore is not a server with a "strict" API (well, it might evolve 
into that), it exists for the only reason to provide access for 
specific native clients. As such it was developed against those apps, 
not against a specific protocol.

So it supports exactly those things which are required by eg Evo 1.2, 
sometime a bit more, sometimes a bit less ;-).

It would be really great if you could collect such request/response 
combinations (maybe together with some info) in a reference. Eg 
docs.opengroupware.org might be a good place for that.
