Sigh. This once again shows the problem with using gstep-base as a 
default Foundation, it's absolutely unstable from an API point of view 
:-( If something is 1.x.x it is not allowed to remove API, if it does, 
you need to bump the major version!

It isn't that long ago when I added the methods to be compatible with 
gstep-base.

I'll take a look at the patch later this evening.
