I guess that should be a user configurable setting. Some people want  
all their devices ring, some don't ;-) IMHO reminders belong on the  
specific client (eg I'm always annoyed if my iCal.app reminds me, and  
then a few seconds later the iPhone goes off, sigh).

Syncing reminders to group folders is quite problematic, since in  
servers they are usually per-event, not per-user. Hence, if someone  
sets a reminder at -30min, it will potentially go off for the whole  
company!
