Now that we make more noise with end user questions I'll set up my own mailing list/forum. Though more general questions like what URL's to use should go to the respective servers mailing lists. Install and configuration went fine. I tested with the outlook client plugin for funambol. I can sync our calendar with the server. With the contacts I have a little problem. Sync works ok however, the contacts displayed in outlook are missing some data. 1. Only the last email address is displayed (if a contact has multiple addresses only the last in the list is displayed. in the logs of the client all addresses appear). Is this an outlook bug or bug of the client= ? 2. No telephone numbers are displayed (in this case the logs on the client also show no sign of the numbers. on the server the numbers show up in the log) Any hints? If necessary I can post part of the client logs. regards Christian --=20 Dr. Christian Naumer Scientist Molecular Biology B.R.A.I.N Aktiengesellschaft Darmstaedter Str. 34-36, D-64673 Zwingenberg e-mail cn@brain-biotech.de, homepage www.brain-biotech.de fon +49-6251-9331-30 / fax +49-6251-9331-11 Sitz der Gesellschaft: Zwingenberg/Bergstrasse Registergericht AG Darmstadt, HRB 24758 Vorstand: Dr. Holger Zinke (Vorsitz), Dr. J=FCrgen Eck Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrats: Ulrich Putsch From groupdav@opengroupware.org Tue Mar 25 23:36:41 2008 From: groupdav@opengroupware.org (Mathew McBride) Date: Wed, 26 Mar 2008 10:36:41 +1100 Subject: [GroupDAV] Funambol-Groupdav and Outlook client In-Reply-To: <47E93592.5080804@brain-biotech.de> Message-ID: Please redirect your replies to our new mailing list (room_funambol-groupdav@bionicmessage.net - subscribe at http://comalies.citadel.org:2000/listsub ) I'll be posting a new connector version later today which uses the latest Funambol vcard parser, but I'll likely have to add merge support for vcards to solve these issues too. It does this by adding support for remote DAV address books and by adding features to be used along with the Lightning calendar extension. More information can be found on our website : http://www.inverse.ca/contributions/sogo_connector.html =3D=3D=3D What is SOGo =3D=3D=3D SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or by using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning. SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and reuses existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to deploy and interoperable with many applications. SOGo features : * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many thousand users * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features and the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lighthing by using the SOGo Connector * Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices (BlackBerry, Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free. We have a demo website where you can experience SOGo from the Web or your preferred CalDAV client: http://sogo-demo.inverse.ca/ =3D=3D=3D Changes since the last release =3D=3D=3D * using the German translation would prevent the groupdav addressbook dialog to appear properly * the synchronize button would no longer be activated * deleting cards in GroupDAV directories would delete them on the server before the confirmation window was answered * the creation window for remote DAV addressbooks would not validate properly * added handling of personal mailing lists, using a versit-style format named "VLIST" * drag and dropping a card from a GroupDAV directory would not delete the card on the server =3D=3D=3D Getting the SOGo Connector =3D=3D=3D SOGo Connector is free software and is distributed under the GNU GPL v. 2. As such, you are free to download and use it from : http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/plugins/sogo-connector-0.67.xpi Documentation about the installation and configuration of SOGo is available from : http://www.inverse.ca/contributions/sogo_connector.html =3D=3D=3D Getting support =3D=3D=3D For any questions, do not hesitate to contact us by writing an email to : support@inverse.ca Inverse offers professional services around SOGo to help organizations deploy the solution and migrate from their legacy systems. -- Wolfgang Sourdeau T: +1 514 989-2000 ext. 2602 C: +1 514 755-3520 AVIS - Ce courriel pourrait contenir des renseignements confidentiels ou privil=C3=A9gi=C3=A9s.
