I can't reproduce that with OGo 1.1 trunk r1493, just tried, works fine 
for me.

Maybe you should try trunk.

This text is fishy:
   "Stripping object file"
you may not strip on OSX. Maybe try explicitly passing --disable-strip 
to configure.
