The major difference is that on OSX we use the Apple Objective-C
runtime and the Apple Foundation library.
On Linux we use the GNU Objective-C runtime and the libFoundation
library.
While the four are very close, there are differences which need to be
debugged / discovered etc. (this is no different for the GNU ObjC /
gstep-base combination, it also doesn't work as well as GNU ObjC /
libFoundation right now).
Summary: on OSX we do not just replace the OS, we also replace the
basis of OGo (Foundation). And this is just much less tested.
