Marco, thanks for the heads up. A few moments ago I was successful with a
"make all" for SOPE 4.4 using the PostgreSQL 7.4.9 install from Darwin Port=
s
as I got the following (though I'm not sure why ld was still looking for
/usr/local since I thought I changed this in configure):

 Linking bundle PostgreSQL ...

Sorry for my not knowing, but what is AJR? Is there a good reason to swap
out EOF with AJR?

- we compiled everything using XCode rather than make.
