I'm a Linux person, and I know a little bit about OpenGroupware.org. Actually I have an instance of OGO running on my (Linux) server. I know there is an Outlook connector for Windows and a minty fresh Evolution connector for Linux. But what about a connector for the Mac? Unfortunately I don't know enough about Mac OSX to ask intelligent questions. I assume there is a standard PIM application, so my question is, is there a Mac connector? No/Yes/Depends ;-) There are several apps on the Mac which can integrate with OGo, eg: - Finder.app (filemanager) - Addressbook.app - iCal.app Finder can mount OGo projects using WebDAV (just like Windows). You should use a late OGo version for improved WebDAV support. The way Addressbook.app connects datasources is using LDAP. You can export OGo contacts using OpenLDAP (eg this is builtin/preconfigured in Instance-OGo). Well and iCal.app can subscribe events from OGo using iCalendar-over- HTTP. Which is an imperfect protocol. This will be fixed in MacOS 10.5, where iCal will support CalDAV. OGo doesn't support iSync though (there is no iSync connector). iSync is another approach for doing datatransfer with the PIM apps on MacOS (but requires a plugin).
