The Xcode build process is outlined here: http://svn.opengroupware.org/SOPE/trunk/sope-xml/README-OSX.txt
(this file is totally out of date, however, the prerequisites for
"Development" are still valid)
In Xcode -> Preferences -> Building
Chose: "Place Build Products in": Customized location - where, is up
to you.
The Xcode build process needs all intermediate products to be built in
a single location. As a benefit, it will also play more nicely with
"Time Machine" doing it that way. ;-)

The MIME stuff has a lot of dependencies to other frameworks and it's
not simple to remove them in a generic way, sorry, you'll have to sort
that out on your own. Have you already had a look at http://www.mulle-kybernetik.com/software/EDFrameworks/?
The EDMessage framework contains a MIME abstraction layer as well.
Also, the dependency graph of ED is much more limited and better
suited for 3rd parties.

This is done in a similar manner - it might be, however, that the =20
frameworks need to be installed before the sample projects pick up =20
their headers, but I may be wrong (I've never built the samples and =20
probably never provided Xcode projects for them - but it's very easy =20
for any experienced programmer to set these up).

Hi,
Yes, I built the Sope application using gnustep-make.
Since I was not able to build it using Xcode , I used the gnustep-make
(as documented in one of the links

My real requirement is that I have a mime message, and I want to extract
the message body and the header fields (like Encoding, Content Type
etc).
Also, I would like to have the support for base64 and Printed quotable
messages.
Now, I have an application developed in Objective C using Xcode 3.0.
Can I use these libraries (libNGMimedylib) for my purpose ?
Can I include these libraries in my project ?
If yes then, do I need any other libraries apart from libNGMimedylib ?
How do I use these libraries in my project ?

Have a look at the dependency graph of this framework. You can examine
it using the standard tools for this purpose (otool) or have a look at
the Makefiles/Xcode projects.

could start converting the sample projects into Xcode projects
(trivial). As soon as you've reached this point you can start
converting your project.

and "enterprise" support. Apple has licensed ActiveSync for the iPhone.

Sure, it contains your configuration. It was created when you called =20
'configure'.

The makefiles automatically pick up your config.make.

What *exactly* is your problem? You never post the actual issues you =20
run into. If you don't know make, read the 'GNU make' manual. If you =20
don't understand gnustep-make, read the GNUstep-make manual.
The process is straight forward, please be more specific about the =20
issues you encounter when trying to build the specific subproject in =20
question.
Its hard to help you if you don't show us what you are doing.
