We are now testing Zidelook in a heterogenous environment including Outlook 2003 and 2007. Initial attempts show that SOME features are also supported for 2007. I will give the report once we are done. I would like to get my OGO calendar synced with Pocket PC, but the utilities I have used don't seem to work (I tried OnSchedule). (I even tried syncing with Google Calendar but that doesn't work either. I was able to hack my outlook today page to display both my overview calendar as well as public calendar, and it seems that the databinding works, but I can't find anything on the internet about how ActiveSync retrieves the calendar data? Anybody have any ideas? Anybody have any ideas? I don't know much about ActiveSync and I've never tried to sync a device over ZideLook. There is - http://bugzilla.opengroupware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D285 - which *seems* to indicate someone had some kind of success, but it isn't in reference to ActiveSync. --=-tyHn4Sjal0nJDggATfhp Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGjn7KLRePpNle04MRAtmuAJ4xBEpY7JuWcQmpvo+J++hATBPIgACeIN8+ zkCEc3Rb+r7RMErPt1n7Bas= =l2VG -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-tyHn4Sjal0nJDggATfhp-- From outlook@opengroupware.org Fri Jul 6 18:43:19 2007 From: outlook@opengroupware.org (Adam Tauno Williams) Date: Fri, 06 Jul 2007 13:43:19 -0400 Subject: [OGo-Outlook] Outlook Versions Supported In-Reply-To: <468E74C3.6000408@gmail.com> References: <468E6037.60706@gmail.com> <1183737839.5487.22.camel@aleph.whitemice.org> <468E74C3.6000408@gmail.com> Message-ID: <1183743799.5487.30.camel@aleph.whitemice.org> --=-ZI5rsqEgM/KDVekL3UVL Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Fri, 2007-07-06 at 12:58 -0400, Bob McDonald wrote: > Personally, I would rather get rid of Outlook altogether and simply > support OGo as the interface of choice for email, etc. However, I'm > faced with a user base (and some management types) that are particularly > resistant to change. The features are just easier to install/use in 2003/XP (see the ZideLook manual). Also, just in general, M$-Outlook 2000 has been more troublesome than 2003/XP (even for just doing mail). --=-ZI5rsqEgM/KDVekL3UVL Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGjn83LRePpNle04MRAik/AJ4y6cXSI8MlPX2r+xKpGp4/u4Nh0ACeKoZC f2p7GBSKw4UfZLZYQFxw5vU= =KjIC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-ZI5rsqEgM/KDVekL3UVL-- From outlook@opengroupware.org Fri Jul 6 21:08:08 2007 From: outlook@opengroupware.org (Helge Hess) Date: Fri, 6 Jul 2007 22:08:08 +0200 Subject: [OGo-Outlook] Pocket PC In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <457D5C86-331D-487F-9025-4A7A0BC708BB@opengroupware.org> On 06.07.2007, at 18:51, Peter Duda wrote: > In searching the archives there are a number of questions regarding > synchronizing the public or private OGO calendars with pocket PC, > but I have yet to see anybody report with any progress? Directly syncing a ZideStore folder is unlikely to work because OGo does not preserve the full MAPI messages. There are some tools (even from Microsoft) which copy between public and personal folders. Those might work to some extend. If I remember right Outlook 2000 doesn't support IMAP4 (for mail) in combination with third-party providers. I can second that XP (2002) or 2003 are probably the best choices ATM.
