Ups, of course the situation is different here anyways. SOGo uses gnustep-base plus a GNUstep deployment root while OGo (per default) uses libFoundation and installs into FHS (/usr/local). Those two issues are actually the same. Your message indicates that Apache can't connect to the local SOGo instance. You should check and adapt the content of SOGo.conf in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ (and maybe this directory is incorrect on SUSE...) In this file there is a directive that looks like this: SetAppPort 20000 Change the port to something else in a way that SOGO and OGo won't use the same. Once this is changed, you should reflect that change in SOGo's configuration: su - sogo defaults write sogod-0.9 WOPort Any value above 1023 should be fine (since SOGo will refuse to run as root). W. Can you run make with "messages=yes" as parameter? Also, please note that gnustep-make 2.0 is unsupported for building SOGo/SOPE, you should use gnustep-make 1.x instead. This is because no > compatibility layer is available and the maintainer is reluctant to > make one... What kind of compatibility layer you are talking of? The GNUstep OpenBSD ports only provide a gnustep-make 2.0.1. So I can choose to install sth. not in ports, and maybe break other things, or I create a port for the Software to be installed and make it fit. Because I don't like to install sth. circumventing the ports and packages mechanisms, I tuned SOPE to install fine with gnustep-make 2.0, also OGo compiles and installs fine (running flawlessly is another question, I'm working on it ;) Thanks Sebastian From sogo@opengroupware.org Wed Aug 29 15:08:25 2007 From: sogo@opengroupware.org (Helge Hess) Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2007 16:08:25 +0200 Subject: [SOGo] compilation error on openbsd In-Reply-To: <20070829135440.46CA53A182@l00-bugdead-prods.de> References: <20070829135440.46CA53A182@l00-bugdead-prods.de> Message-ID: <99C2A4E7-F7A4-409F-83FE-B24FD8D9E913@opengroupware.org> On 29.08.2007, at 15:54, Sebastian Reitenbach wrote: > What kind of compatibility layer you are talking of? Now ZNeK is already maintaining a SOPE branch which has gsmake 2.x patches, but it _only_ works with gsmake 2.x which is not good enough before OGo is also patched to work with gsmake 2.x. *And* still provides the FHS features currently provided by SOPE/OGo. Is it possible to distinguish the GNUstep-make version at runtime? My sope tunings to make it fit gsmake-2.0 were most likely only to remove all fhs.make files. and some other smaller tweaks. I also tuned GOo to compile with gsmake-2, and it was not too hard. BUT not by removing fhs.make, we still need (proper) FHS support. (note that my fhs.make stuff are quite bad hacks, but at least they work :-) So you would need to ensure that the things end up in the same (local/lib, local/sbin etc) places like with gsmake-1.x. > In case you are interested in the files I had to patch, I could > open a bugzilla entry for that and upload the patches. Uhm, no. I'm only interested in the full solutions as mentioned above since I currently lack the time to do any own work on it :-) You should coordinate with ZNeK in any case ...
