[OGo-Translation] How to create .strings "patch" files?

Hi Folks!

For bug 1249, I was asked to provide corrections for
several .strings files.  I ended up changing the line
that needed to be changed, and attaching the entire
file with a note as to which line I changed.

I've seen information in the past where folks more
experienced than myself ask for a "diff -u patch"
file.  Could someone explain or otherwise point me to
some information where I could learn the proper way to
provide  patches in the future.
