Hello,
I just tested the upgrade path from the development 1.0a branch to the soon to
the stable 1.0beta branch. As most of you might want to upgrade to 1.0beta
when it is announced, here is a summary of what you need to do:
1) Change your OGo apt sources to the following:
deb http://download.opengroupware.org/releases/unstable ThirdParty sarge
deb http://download.opengroupware.org/releases/unstable opengroupware-1.0beta.1-rock sarge
deb http://download.opengroupware.org/releases/unstable sope-4.4rc.1-rock sarge
2) Edit your instance configuration(s) file(s) to reflect the new versions you
want to run. In /etc/opengroupware.org/$INSTANCE/init.conf change
WEBUI_VERSION and XMLRPCD_VERSION to 1.0 and
ZIDESTORE_VERSION to 1.4. If you run nhsd, also change NHSD_VERSION
to 1.0.
3) Restart OGo by issuing /etc/init.d/opengroupware restart
Be aware that restarting OGo kills all active sessions from users, so if you
are using OGo in a production system announce the upgrade to avoid
loss of work from your users.
Success and failure reports are appreciated, just send them to the list.
Regards,
Sebastian
