We use both 8.0 and 8.1 with OGo with no issues;  except of course that
performance improves with each version,  especially with large
databases.  If you are coming from an Informix and/or DB2 perspective
8.1 even feels like a 'real' database with proper role management,
performance metrics, and the whole enchilada.  For OGo or anything else
I can't recommend 8.1 highly enough.
