Hi all,

I am still trying to make use of the "Open Locally" button to open documents
locally on a mounted webdrive

I have this in my preferences:
file://home/$user_login$/zidestore/Projects/$project_number$/Documents$path$

unfortunately, davfs shows the file title instead of the file name, because
the file title is given in the <displayname> attribute from the server.

is there a replacement for $path$ that will allow me to specify the file title
as the thing that I am interested in?
I already asked the davfs developer, and he says, that taking the file title
instead of the name is a feature, as it is noted in the RFC:

Wrong file names:
-----------------
This is meant to be a feature not a bug. The RFC says about
displayname:

" Name: displayname
   Namespace: DAV:
Purpose: Provides a name for the resource that is
suitable for
   presentation to a user.
Description: The displayname property should be defined
on all DAV
compliant resources. If present, the property contains a
description
of the resource that is suitable for presentation to a user."

So, if the server sends information like this:
"<D:href>https://communicator.ds9:443/zidestore/dav/sebastia/public/Accounts/104
30.vcf?sn=Sonnenschein</D:href>

... <D:displayname>Sonnenschein, Helena</D:displayname> ..."
davfs2 interprets it like this:
Display the nice name "Sonnenschein, Helena" to the user
instead of that ugly "10430.vcf?sn=Sonnenschein", that is
meant for internal purposes.

well, I just asked whether he can add a mount option to ignore the
<displayname> properties, but I was just curious whether I can influence this
from the server side?

kind regards
Sebastian
