I'm trying to evaluate Opengroupware versus Zimbra, but it's not clear
how to install OGO.
This page is out of date because it implies there are not RPMs for FC5
http://www.opengroupware.org/en/install/fedora/index.html
and it tells you to create a repo file like:
[ogo-releases]
name=3DOpenGroupware.org release builds
baseurl=3Dhttp://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core3=
/releases/
But doesn't tell you what to install.=20
The similar URL
http://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/releases/
isn't a usable repo.
http://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/releases/op=
engroupware-1.1.5-moveon/
Is much closer, but doesn't have all the packages necessary to get up and r=
unning.
So, I found
http://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/releases/so=
pe-4.5.9-maple/
is a repo for part of those packages, but I don't know if 4.5.9 is appropri=
ate for 1.1.5.
That still leaves libfoundation to be found. Oh. There it is in
http://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/releases/Th=
irdParty/
So essentially, it looks like you need to do something like this to install=
on FC5...
cd /etc/yum.repos.d
cat <<EOF > ogo-releases.repo
[ogo-releases]
name=3DOpenGroupware.org release builds
baseurl=3Dhttp://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/r=
eleases/opengroupware-1.1.5-moveon/
gpgcheck=3D0
EOF
cat <<EOF > ogo-sope.repo
[ogo-sope]
name=3DOpenGroupware.org SOPE
baseurl=3Dhttp://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/r=
eleases/sope-4.5.9-maple/
gpgcheck=3D0
EOF
cat <<EOF > ogo-foundation.repo
[ogo-foundation]
name=3DOpenGroupware.org Foundation
baseurl=3Dhttp://download.opengroupware.org/nightly/packages/fedora-core5/r=
eleases/ThirdParty/
gpgcheck=3D0
EOF
I then looked at the files and tried to guess what to install. This one
looks like it would pull in enough requisite packages to install OGO:
yum install ogo-webui-calendar

Now that I see it can be installed, I'll read some docs and start to
evaluate OGO.=20
Thanks for all your hard work, but I think there needs to be a little
bit of house cleaning to help people who know nothing about your project
but are very interested in its promise.
If you wiki-tize the install instructions we can help update them.
