Not before but I have now - it does not change a thing.

No.

Well... the first time I ran upgrade it upgraded a lot of opengroupware
packages. I am not sure wether it upgrade SOPE.
If you look at the list below libsope-core4.5 is among those to be upgrade
but held back.

Well this is a little beyond my apt skills. Using fix or reinstall does not
help.

Yes it really sucks.
