Yes, I think that section is quite out of date and at best confusing.
The docs plone is probably better then the website proper.

Not that I can find; a serious flaw. The website is quite horrible.

"Stable" in this case is a bit misleading; all the releases are stable
in practice (IMHO). "Stable" is a bit like Debian's "Stable",
updated/released very infrequently. I'd use the nightly build or the
latest unstable release. This is explained to a degree in
