Sunbird is at RC stage now, and I'm getting different (mis)behavior. OpenGroupware svn.1968 + Sunbird RC0.5 -- Events now appear right away, but now I have almost the inverse problem of http://bugzilla.opengroupware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1874 - when the calendar view is refreshed by clicking to another day and back the event disappears. This problem only manifests when the calendar is empty on Sunbird startup - things are fine if the calendar contains events. I see an additional bug however - when a reminder for an event pops up a duplicate event is created. (The calendar must be refreshed for this to be displayed in Sunbird... but the duplicate event is saved back to OpenGroupware). I know I'm using a different nightly (OpenGroupware svn.1968 instead of svn 1950) but I believe Sunbird is the software which has changed - when I test with Sunbird 0.5PRE I get results consistant with bugs previously reported against Ogo svn.1950 in the bug report above. -Mark From users@opengroupware.org Fri Jun 1 15:52:41 2007 From: users@opengroupware.org (Adam Tauno Williams) Date: Fri, 01 Jun 2007 10:52:41 -0400 Subject: [OGo-Users] Re: Sunbird v0.5 PRE + yummy on Debian (or any other Win32 client) In-Reply-To: <466031AD.2060702@internode.on.net> References: <466031AD.2060702@internode.on.net> Message-ID: <1180709561.4381.20.camel@aleph.whitemice.org> --=-vKKruefuIpSuAClFzl6/ Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > I'm not sure where to report this so I'll do it here. > Sunbird is at RC stage now, and I'm getting different (mis)behavior. > OpenGroupware svn.1968 + Sunbird RC0.5 -- Events now appear right=20 > away, but now I have almost the inverse problem of=20 > http://bugzilla.opengroupware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D1874 - when=20 > the calendar view is refreshed by clicking to another day and back the=20 > event disappears. [ What is SOGo ] SOGo is a flavour of OGo that was redesigned for scalability while keeping the fundamental functionalities of a groupware server. It can be used both as a Web application with a user interface that integrates well with the Mozilla application suite, or as a GroupDAV and CalDAV server which you can then access from your native client application of choice such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning. Inverse has contributed to SOGo many enhancements and features, such as : - Fresh AJAX-based user interface which mimics the Thunderbird / Lighthing / Sunbird look and feel while reducing resource usage - Calendar, address book and IMAP folder sharing - Exchange and Oracle Calendar-compatible ACLs - Tasks support and vCard storage support for contacts - Multiple address books per user and LDAP-based address books - CalDAV support Screenshots of the Web interface for the calendar, address book and email modules are available from : http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/sogo-calendar.jpg http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/sogo-contacts.jpg http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/sogo-mail.jpg and of the native interface provided by Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning : http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/thunderbird-calendar.jpg http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/thunderbird-contacts.jpg http://www.inverse.ca/groupware/images/thunderbird-mail.jpg Finally, you can also visit Inverse's website (http://inverse.ca) which contains more information about SOGo (http://www.inverse.ca/contributions/sogo.html), our Thunderbird GroupDAV plugin (http://www.inverse.ca/english/contributions/thunderbird_groupdav_plugin.html) and our Lightning Enhancer (http://www.inverse.ca/english/contributions/lightning_enhancer_plugin.html). [ Changes since the last release ] - an email is now sent each time a user adds or removes an other users from the ACL - a refactoring was made in the email module to move the computing of the mailbox tree and menus to client-side - added the ability to create and remove IMAP folders - more work was done on IE 7 and Safari/WebKit compatibility, SOGo is now usable from those browsers and full compatibility is underway - complete revisit of the ACLs in order for better level of conformance and security - the navigation links at the top of the lists of emails are now working again - the installation and configuration steps for SOGo has been documented - see our website for details [ Getting SOGo ] SOGo is free software and is distributed under the GNU GPL. As such, you are free to download and try it by either getting the newly released snapshot from : http://www.inverse.ca/uploads/SOGo/SOGo-20070604.tar.gz or by getting the sources from the official SVN server : http://svn.opengroupware.org/SOGo/inverse/trunk/ Documentation about the installation and configuration of SOGo is available from : http://www.inverse.ca/english/contributions/sogo/documentation.html [ Getting support ] For any questions, do not hesitate to contact us by writing an email to : support@inverse.ca We are continuously working on the project and much more is to come very soon! I expect them to be solved in a very short time. > -Mark MfG, Lars Schimmer - -- - ------------------------------------------------------------- TU Graz, Institut für ComputerGraphik & WissensVisualisierung Tel: +43 316 873-5405 E-Mail: l.schimmer@cgv.tugraz.at Fax: +43 316 873-5402 PGP-Key-ID: 0x4A9B1723 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGZ8KomWhuE0qbFyMRAn4sAJ40C6KK27kJdIMKEdhBz0i+bXyy3wCdFp8i eBwyUC4HiWXgk2r2xkpCBjc= =Zwqr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From users@opengroupware.org Thu Jun 7 11:26:50 2007 From: users@opengroupware.org (Florian Reitmeir) Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2007 12:26:50 +0200 Subject: [OGo-Users] Docs/Plone Spam Message-ID: <20070607102650.GI18576@asa.multi24.com> Hi, when searching for a sieve umlauts workaround.. http://docs.opengroupware.org/search?SearchableText=sieve i found spam, maybe some is able to clean it up. -- Florian Reitmeir From users@opengroupware.org Thu Jun 7 12:26:38 2007 From: users@opengroupware.org (Olivier Hallot) Date: Thu, 07 Jun 2007 08:26:38 -0300 Subject: [OGo-Users] Docs/Plone Spam In-Reply-To: <20070607102650.GI18576@asa.multi24.com> References: <20070607102650.GI18576@asa.multi24.com> Message-ID: <4667EB6E.8090704@scinergy.com.br> same for bugzilla... http://bugzilla.opengroupware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1869 Florian Reitmeir escreveu: > Hi, > > when searching for a sieve umlauts workaround.. > > http://docs.opengroupware.org/search?SearchableText=sieve > > i found spam, maybe some is able to clean it up. > > From users@opengroupware.org Thu Jun 7 13:52:52 2007 From: users@opengroupware.org (Adam Tauno Williams) Date: Thu, 07 Jun 2007 08:52:52 -0400 Subject: [OGo-Users] Docs/Plone Spam In-Reply-To: <20070607102650.GI18576@asa.multi24.com> References: <20070607102650.GI18576@asa.multi24.com> Message-ID: <1181220772.4386.4.camel@aleph.whitemice.org> --=-t3/EoRzVH5edvFgQsZQO Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > when searching for a sieve umlauts workaround. > http://docs.opengroupware.org/search?SearchableText=3Dsieve > i found spam, maybe some is able to clean it up. Install of zidelook server on debian etch - debian.version is 4.0, the install script asks just for 3.0 or 3.1. So it won´t install on etch. And it wants apache, we use apache2. Message-ID: <4668F4D5.5040906@internode.on.net> >Don't know anything about that (since I don't use Debian). There seem to be a couple of issues with the way Ogo is packaged for Debian Etch : The nightly build packages depend on the Debian Apache and Postgresql metapackages. For easy-ugrade reasons (internal to the Debian project) these metapackages depend on obsolete versions of Apache and Postgresql respectively. The obsolete Postgresql 7.4 package even warns the user that they should be using 8.2 because 7.4 is no longer maintained. It is possible to override the packaging system and install Postgresql 8.2 and Apache 2 instead for use with Ogo, but the user needs to discover and overcome this problem for themselves. Also the skyrix zidestore packages are fairly old (2004-07-22) and of course aren't Debian Etch aware. I'm still wrestling with the installation and am not sure if it's even possible to get it working under Etch. Has anyone managed to do it? The filename skyrix5-gdl-postgresql72_4.2-21_i386.deb makes me nervous because Postgresql v7.2 isn't even in Debian Etch. -Mark From users@opengroupware.org Fri Jun 8 09:51:42 2007 From: users@opengroupware.org (Sebastian Reitenbach) Date: Fri, 08 Jun 2007 10:51:42 +0200 Subject: [OGo-Users] RE: What version of Ogo for Zidelook? The problem was pw_type in pam_pgsql.conf , namely : pw_type = crypt ...should be... pw_type = crypt_md5 Also, in the documentation I read the "database" and "user" fields were "OGo" but should be "ogo". I should mention that I'm using a nightly build of Ogo, which probably makes a difference. -Mark ps. I was having issues with getting debug output from syslog : nothing seemed to be logged despite asking libpam_pgsql for debug output in the configuration. In "regular" environments it shouldn't be an issue. SELECT COUNT(*) FROM object_acl; SELECT COUNT(*) FROM company; Something which can make things slow is an obj_info table which is not filled. Or missing indices. Hard to say. To narrow the issue down, you can use -PGDebugEnabled YES and: http://www.opengroupware.org/en/devs/docs/snippets/Profiling.html (especially LSProfileCommands). No way the ACLs are causing that much of a performance issue. We have ~80,000 contacts each with *at least* two ACL entries, and performance in extremely fast and load quite low. > > Something which can make things slow is an obj_info table which is =20 > > not filled. Dear Adam,

I am Java developer mostly working on web applications.
I am familiar with Re Hat Linux, now I am using Fedora, but
I want to know can I find anywhere the installation steps (written in simple clear language) on Fedora for Opengroupware?

I was using a lot of different software, but I always manage to do a job thanks to the well written documentation - what packages I need to install. What pilot-link?

Sorry, but I am confused - I am not a laisy person  - I just need a simple steps - 1.2.3.
Install this, configure that.

I started working in a new working enviroment - no system administrator, network admin.
So I am on my own :)

I've already started reading pdf file you sent me - and hopefully I wil manage to find some answers.

http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/whitemice/wmogag/file_view

There is really no distribution specific stuff or required
sysadmin-uber-magick to installing OGo [ unless your using Debian... of
course :) ]

1.) Make sure you have the prereqs installed
1.1.) PostgreSQL, Objective-C, Apache, and probably pilot-link
2.) Grab packages
3.) Install packages (rpm -Uvh *.rpm)

You should be pretty much good to go.

Only biter you might run into is the need to build ngobjweb for you
version of Apache,  if so, just follow the relevant bit of instructions
from -
http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/whitemice/misc/ogo-install-for-opensuse102/document_view  (pretty much a cut-n-paste to the command line).

If you are using anything like SELinux / AppArmour, etc... then of
course you need to get those into a sane configuration first.

Install the packages, they should set up everything. (Honestly, IMHO, distribution specific install instructions are more-or-less a waste o time - everyone maintaining documents that are fundamentally the same). As mentioned, the only snag might be the ngobjweb Apache module. Follow the step-by-step cut-n-paste instruction for building the module at - http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/whitemice/misc/ogo-install-for-opensuse102/document_view The real configuration happens after you have the suite installed and running. All that is entirely distribution independent and covered in WMOGAG - http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/whitemice/wmogag/file_view > I was using a lot of different software, but I always manage to do a > job thanks to the well written documentation - what packages I need to > install. [ Changes since the last release ] - new web user interface for managing user preferences - completely restored and revisited the code for handling all day events - work has begun to convert all transactions of dynamic data to json-based transactions (instead of HTML), this will improve bandwidth usage and performance as well a W3C DOM compliance - a bug preventing the users from removing their own events has been fixed - a bug preventing the user to read messages from shared IMAP folders was fixed. - a bug preventing SOGo from building with GCC 3 has been fixed [ Getting SOGo ] SOGo is free software and is distributed under the GNU GPL. As such, you are free to download and try it by either getting the newly released snapshot from : http://www.inverse.ca/uploads/SOGo/SOGo-20070619.tar.gz or by getting the sources from the official SVN server : http://svn.opengroupware.org/SOGo/inverse/trunk/ Documentation about the installation and configuration of SOGo is available from : http://www.inverse.ca/contributions/sogo/documentation.html [ Getting support ] For any questions, do not hesitate to contact us by writing an email to : support@inverse.ca We are continuously working on the project and much more is to come very soon! Compiling file behavior.m ... gcc: error trying to exec 'cc1obj': execvp: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [shared_debug_obj/./GNU/behavior.o] Fejl 1 make[1]: *** [libFoundation.all.library.variables] Fejl 2 make[1]: Forlader katalog '/home/ogo/sope/libFoundation/Foundation' make: *** [internal-all] Fejl 2 This causes me problems.
