Actually Im going to have to disagree with this statement. GPL does not speak 
to costs, rather to access to code. We had a very similar arrangements on our 
product line when I worked for Corel Computer which seems a very long time 
ago now. As long as the authors do not put restrictions on commercial 
redistribution then its perfectly legitimate I would argue. However, its all 
in the contract you sign and neither of us have seen any paperwork other then 
the statements above.
